History

The Judo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic was established in 1992, shortly after the country gained independence. Since its founding, the Federation has become the key organization coordinating the development of judo in Kyrgyzstan. Over the years, it has made significant contributions to organizing national championships, developing sports schools and judo clubs, and preparing athletes for participation in international competitions.

Thanks to the efforts of coaches, athletes, and Federation leaders, judo has become one of the most popular martial arts in Kyrgyzstan. Our judokas regularly represent the country at Asian and World Championships, as well as the Olympic Games, winning medals and strengthening the international reputation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
